§ Sharing & Stewardship

Who can see what, and why.

In a vestry, the keys are not assumed — they are given, and they are recorded. We've built sharing the same way. Every permission visible. Every access earned.

§ 01 · Roles

Four roles. No ambiguity.

Owner
You, or a co-owner
The person the record belongs to. Has the only key that can change the architecture — add rooms, remove stewards, rotate recovery.

Can

— Read & edit everything— Add & remove stewards— Delete the vault

Always can't

Transfer ownership without 7-day waiting period
Co-owner
Spouse, partner, parent
Equal rights to the household vault. Any change to stewardship requires both owners to confirm. Both receive every summary.

Can

— Read & edit everything— Propose changes to stewards

Can't alone

Remove a stewardDelete the vault
Steward
Executor, trustee, close kin
Named to act on a specific part of the vault at a specific time. Can see only what they need. Every view is logged and surfaced to the owner.

Can, by room

— See the rooms you've chosen— Act on them under agreed triggers

Can't

Witness
Professional advisor, attorney
Read-only, time-limited. Used during plan review. Access auto-expires on a date you set.

§ 03 · Sharing, in practice

The moment you invite someone in.

Trust, where you can see it.
